Last March, some of my Add10 coaching clients came together for 2 days to work with me. Here's what Brendon Stevens from Asset Edge had to say...
Hi I'm Brendon Stevens I'm from Asset Edge we're sort of a company who worked for a local government. I'm here today at Add10 and I listened to court a couple of days and found it inspiring. I think walking to a room with 50 people who are like minded is not something you get a lot of opportunity to do. And sharing the ideas with these people has been phenomenal.
Let's stimulate a lot of ideas for me. I think I'll take a lot away from this. A lot of ways that I can not only improve my business but improve my life, improve the bottom line of course. And generally I think have a lot of contacts with a lot of people that would continue to deal with and help and have them help me. Key takeaways are I guess.
The things you know there's a lot of things you know that you don't do. So the key takeaways for me are not just about the theoretical practice of improving your business but the actual practical going. Sytemising your business and getting away from the day to day drudgery. Learning a little bit more about how you think about delegation. How you think about this utilization and putting that into practice not putting it on the To Do List as Casey says but actually doing it getting it done. And I think this environment stimulates that.
It's a cool to arms to allow you to do those sorts of things. So the takeaways for me. Don't just think about it do it. You know what you're gonna do to get it done. And I guess don't cross, don't get stuck on the little things. Actually do it even if it's a little bit do it and then continue to improve from then on. So don't overthink, you don't planned it all out, don't come up with the plan come up with like we're doing stuff after a 90 day plan even come up with a 30 day plan and just move ahead with that.
The contents is good. It's more casual it's not so formalized. So there's a lot of discussion is a lot of constant discussion between your peers. So you get to move around and meet a lot of people. Yeah. So there's a lot of time with discussion. There's a lot of room discussion and there's a mixture of I guess not just personalities but there's mature experiences in the room.
So you get some newbies come up like yourself and ask questions at a very low level event you know what are used for these what do I do for this. But then you get someone in the room was a lot more experienced and they'll come up with a much bigger perspective. The issues involved and some really simple solutions that you think are you. Of course we could do this that are you do that that way. Well these are the sorts of options that I've got. So it's a collaborative process.
I guess where Casey just managed to put together 51 people who are like minded and all want achieve the same thing all different businesses on shore but we all got some problems and we've all got the same desire and that is to remove ourselves from the day to day drudgery and take a more strategic role in your business. And have I guess a more solidified means of achieving your eventual exit plan.
